Siyabonga Tshijila
Siya grew up in East London, with his 7 brothers and sisters. When he was in 12th grade God grabbed his heart and he began to realize that something needed to change in the life he was living.
One evening he found himself sitting in a church listening to a youth choir sing, “Jesus, lover of my soul, Jesus you will never let me go, you’ve taken me from the miry clay, set my feel upon a rock, and now I know….” His life up to that point had felt like miry clay, God touched his heart, and that night he gave his life to Jesus. That’s when the transformation began, his lifestyle completely changed, and everyone began to notice there is something radically different about Siya.
He attended Bible college in 2007, and LXP in 2008, while he was there God birthed a passion in his heart for youth. He sees so many, stuck just like he was, in a life of destruction, with no one to tell them the truth.
Having gone through Cpx in 2009, Siya is now working with the youth in Red Hill, discipling them, and offering them the life and freedom he found.
His magnetic personality and sense of humor make him a joy to be around, and his love for people is evident in everything he does.
