Baby Safe is saving the lives of babies who would otherwise be thrown away.
The stark poverty in South Africa is leading mothers to actually dump their babies. They are sometimes found dead and alive. We provide a safe place for a woman to leave her baby. It is called the baby safe. It is a drop that can be approached day or night, it is legal, and it is anonymous. Baby Safe as an organization is also working to provide hope and options to pregnant women in need. We do pregnancy counseling, adoption facilitation for birth parents, and various ways intervention with neglected children.
