By providing opportunities to sponsor poverty-stricken children in Masi, Vulnerable Children is improving the lives of people who would otherwise be uncared for.
This project started after seeing many children who were not properly cared for, desperate for love, in Masiphumelele. With Wendy’s help, we started a sponsorship program, where someone adopts a family or child, helping towards a monthly food parcel and emergency needs.
One of the families we met lives in the wettest and poorest part of Masi. The mother had been in hospice care. We raised funds to build a new floor, giving her and her two daughters a healthier home. She’s now well enough to care for her children better. They receive monthly food parcels and just got their first-ever new school uniforms, thanks to generous giving. This family had no hope in life, and now they see God is caring for them and that there is hope for the future.
