Lives transformed through Ten Days outreach

Thirty young adults made an impact for God’s kingdom in 2011’s Ten Days for Jesus outreach.
“God completely changed my life. It is like a light shining into my heart. I now have hope.”
These are the words of Samuel. He lives in Masiphumelele. My team met him during our Ten Days for Jesus outreach in December 2011. Sbu Jali, my co-leader, shared very simply with Samuel about God: the rebellion of man, Jesus’ sacrifice for us, repentance and redemption (the God story). This was the first time Samuel really understood the Gospel and he did not hesitate to accept Jesus as his Saviour and Lord.
I saw him the next day and he was shining. There was a real change in him. He was a new man. I know I shouldn’t have been surprized, but I was amazed at how quickly and genuinely he accepted Jesus. Samuel’s heart was ripe as it says in Luke 10, “The harvest is ripe, but the workers are few. Pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send more workers.”
Thirty young adults attended Ten Days for Jesus. Our purpose for hosting the outreach was to give participants exposure to missions as well as to coach them on a one-on-one basis. Many of the full time missionaries of All Nations joined after doing Ten Days, including myself.
During the outreach we put Luke 10 into practice. We simply walked to any house in Masiphumelele and said, “peace be upon your house”, and looked for a person of peace, anyone hungry to learn more about Jesus. And did we find people of peace! We saw healings and new people hungry to learn more about Jesus joining existing All Nations house churches in Masiphumelele.
I was encouraged to see my team’s hearts being stirred for missions. Many said that they would like to make reaching out part of their lifestyle. Something you continue to do no matter where you are in life. My hope is that through Ten Days for Jesus we will see more people consciously reaching out to friends, family, colleagues and even going to the Nations.
