You Say Goodbye , I Say Hello

We said goodbye to our All Nations visitors, Bron and Shane this week... although they nearly didn't escape due to our driveway being turned into a work site, a lack of petrol and a flat battery! It was actually Shane’s second narrow escape after being bitten by a rat during the night. But Shane survived to tell the tale and our visitors are on their way...It was a week of new beginnings in the community. Shahida (see last week’s blog) chose to become a follower of Jesus! We are so excited for her and praying for God’s guidance as she starts her journey in a Muslim community. We are in the process of linking her up with other believers in the village – one lady we suggested she meet turned out to be related to her husband!  Another gentleman, Saieed, also chose to follow Jesus today and wants to get baptised. This week we also did a DBS in a boarding school for the first time where we knew the cook and a teacher. We expected to see just a few of the staff but ended up having about 30 children willing to listen as well. We are planning to hand this straight over to our contacts there so they can continue to share with the children and staff during the spare time at weekends! We have our team break this weekend and are looking forward to a night away... our main topic of conversation is whether we are looking forward to the fridge or the shower the most! We are grateful for a chance to rest before our last two weeks in the community.
