COVID-19 Response
At All Nations Cape Town, we’ve been monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) global pandemic for some time. It’s been affecting our field workers in other locations for some time, but just recently has made it’s way to South Africa. For those of you not aware, on Sunday evening, President Ramaposa announced the government’s response to this global crisis. We are following all the regulations that the government has implemented, and also gone further to cancel our large group meetings for the time being. In addition, because of the travel bans — and the potential for further bans in the future, the CPx team decided Monday afternoon to cancel the CPx that was scheduled to start Sunday at Africa House. We have started implementing social distancing on site and many of our teams are now meeting remotely while working from home. We are encouraging everyone to act wisely, not out of fear but out of love for our neighbors.
We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our recommendations accordingly. For the moment, one major response that we can have is to increase our prayer about this global pandemic. Our All Nations International Leadership Team made a call for a concerted prayer effort this week:
“We would like to invite you all to join us in a 3-day prayer and ‘Daniel’ fast to humble ourselves, take a stand, and witness Jesus reverse the spread of the COVID-19 virus! Prayer movement leaders like Lou Engle are issuing a trumpet call to global prayer and fasting. We in AN want to join our resounding ‘Amen’ and intercessory forces to this united offensive in pr-yer and worsh-p!”
We will be praying remotely this Wednesday to Friday, and we encourage you to join with us as well!
