New Rhythms

This week marks our first week in the village, and we are enjoying the simple living! Charcoal fire cooking, bucket showers, and limited contact with the rest of the world have become the norm. Upon our arrival Monday evening, many new friends welcomed us by immediately helping us unload our things.Tuesday morning, the sun greeted us at an astonishing 5:30 am. We made our way to the market for "Market Day" to buy a few things. This was a great first experience in town with so much to see. Wednesday, we were able to meet the second chief of the village and ask permission to move about and talk with the people. She was very gracious that we had come and said that we can do anything that is good for her village. After this meeting, we have felt much more freedom in walking around. The rest of this week has been spent prayer walking and greeting people along the way. We have made a few friends amongst the shop owners, and we will continue to shop with them to build relationship. There have also been a few people that are excited about hearing stories.  We will be heading out with our translator next week.On Saturday, we were privileged to receive some amazing All Nations family members in the village for a short visit. This was very encouraging for us and gave us an extra boost to start off the next week!
