Freedom in Christ

This week we continued in ministry, meeting people and looking for spiritual conversations. Don and Machiel have been continuing to meet with the man who paints bicycles, and he invited them to his house earlier this week. They feel that this is a good sign. Last week they had prayed for this man's father who lives in a different village. When they went back this week, word had gotten out that they were praying for sick people. An older woman and a young girl came to be prayed for as well. This was exciting to see that people were so interested in prayer and that word had spread quickly.

Don and Machiel have also been really trying to pour into their translator as well. This week their translator was able to lead a DBS (Discovery Bible Study) at one of the houses, and he did a fantastic job! They were so encouraged to see him lead so well, and they are looking forward to continue letting him lead during the rest of our time here. We are starting to try to hand over the leadership as much as possible.

Jordan and Jessica had a good conversation with on me of the closer women they have built friendship with. After a rather emotional conversation with her, they felt that she could really benefit from going through "Freedom in Christ" steps. A few hours were spent simply listening to her heart-wrenching life story. They have now begun going back into different events, renouncing lies, and leading her towards what the Lord thinks of her. They feel this woman is a potential leader for taking over the women DBS groups. It is so amazing to see her begin to transform as she receives freedom in Jesus.
