CPx in Cape Town expands

By Julianna Jones

This year All Nations Cape Town will build on the success of last year’s training programs by hosting two in-person CPx trainings.

CPx is our flagship training program and stands for Church Planting Experience. It includes in-person training for three weeks followed by a 9-month internship in the field.

This year’s CPx trainings in Cape Town will be 9-29 May and 7-27 September. Applications are being accepted now for the May CPx.

One of our primary activities at All Nations is training and equipping followers of Jesus to bring the Gospel to the least, the last and the lost. Through training events, we identify and equip leaders who will be sent out to disciple others and work toward igniting church planting movements.

During the pandemic, we had to cancel in-person training events and move online. In September, we held our first in-person CPx since the start of the pandemic. We had 17 students at Africa House for the intensive training and it was a huge success. Now the students are walking through a distance learnership in their own areas of ministry, mostly in South Africa and Mozambique.

The ANCT hub team is excited to be planning two of these trainings this year. We have seen CPx launch people into greater fruitfulness in their ministries both at home and in distant unreached locations.

“[CPx] is a course designed to equip and serve those who say YES to the call of Jesus to make disciples, plant churches and believe Him for movement among the lost and neglected in the nations,” explained Rika Boersma, ANCT director of training. “Why? So His glory, His fame, will spread over the earth as the waters cover the sea. So that on that day that Revelations tells us about, more will be added to the multitude worshiping before the throne crying out, ‘Worthy is the Lamb!’”
