Commemorating the life of AN founder Floyd McClung
All Nations founder Floyd McClung went to be with Jesus 29 May. The impact of this one incredible man’s life cannot be understated.
“Thousands of people from all over the world can attest to the profound impact Floyd had on their lives,” said his wife Sally McClung. “While he has gone to be with the Lord, his voice is not silent. His books and recorded teachings will continue to inspire and challenge. His legacy continues. ... The day Floyd became ill he spoke to a group of All Nations students. In what turned out to be a prophetic word, he asked them, ‘If I can’t continue, will you finish the race?’ His prayer would be that thousands will heed the call to go to the nations.”
Along with people from all over the world, we here at All Nations Cape Town are mourning the loss of this giant of the faith. At the same time, we are stirred to continue our work, the work that Floyd pioneered when he founded All Nations 20 years ago and then started All Nations Cape Town in 2006.
Many of you have already been celebrating Floyd’s life as the news has spread online about his death. In order to commemorate his life and work, and process his loss together, we invite you to participate in several initiatives detailed below.
Here at ANCT, we will continue to move forward with the vision Floyd started with — to see Jesus worshipped by all the people’s of the earth.
Share what Floyd meant to you
It is good to remember the amazing things the Lord has done through the life of our founder, Floyd McClung. We who are part of All Nations are part of his legacy. His impact on our lives to instill in us a passion for Jesus, and a vision to see Jesus worshiped by all nations is incalculable. We would like to honor Floyd’s memory by sharing with one another how he has impacted each of us at All Nations Cape Town. If you have been involved with ANCT in the past, we would like to invite you to please take some time and write out a memory you have of Floyd, something you learned from him, or how he has impacted you. Please send it to ANCT senior leader Tersia Malherbe by 17 June, and include a photo of yourself and Floyd if you have one. We want to put all of it together to tell our AN Cape Town story. You can send it to tersia@all-nations.co.za
