When Flowers May Be Telling You Something
This week seemed to almost fly by. We took a quick trip into the city to sort out visa renewals. It seems as though you can never know how visas will pan out, so we spent quite a bit of time praying over them before we went. There was also a mix up with a few of our visas that would expire before we were to leave the country. We got all of our visas renewed for another 2 months, so we won't have to go back every 30 days. This is a huge blessing. Praise the Lord there were no issues! While we were in South Africa, someone had prophesied over our team a picture of a woman holding a certain type of flower, and that she would be a person of peace. In our first week, Jessica was sitting on the front porch when a woman came up and started chatting with her. It turns out that this woman is a believer, and her name is the name of the flower from the prophecy! After several times of trying to connect again, Jordan and Jessica were able to have a discovery bible study (DBS) with her this past week. This woman and her family have been suffering from nightmares ever since they moved into their house. We had a powerful time of declaring Jesus' blood and authority over her house, and we could feel something changing in the place. She asked us to come every day for DBS, and next time she asked if she could teach a few praise songs in her language. We feel this woman really has a heart to reach the lost people in her village, and we are so excited to encourage her through studying the Word together.Don and Machiel were able meet with the man from the clinic for a second DBS. They felt that the time went well, and that he is really catching on to the DBS model. When they say down, the man asked, "So, we start with thankfulness right? And then our needs?" He seems to be pretty enthusiastic about it, and he said he will be inviting two more friends next time (one believer, and one non-believer)! They feel this man may be a person of peace. And, an encouraging side note--there's also a picture of the flower from the prophecy hanging in the entry of his home!
