Running the Race

By Julianna Jones

The New Testament using the analogy of a race to explain what it looks like to follow Jesus well. “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” (Heb. 12:1)

Over the next six months, we invite you to journey with us as we explore what it means to run the race well.

This theme has become even more significant to us this year with the passing of All Nations’ founder Floyd McClung. His last public meeting before falling ill was the graduation and commissioning of a class of CPx students from All Nations Cape Town. When he spoke to the students, he said “If I cannot finish the race, will you take up the baton? Will you finish the race?”

No one knew at that time that the end of his race would come so soon. But here at All Nations Cape Town have taken up the baton he has passed to us. Papa Floyd started All Nations with a vision to ignite church planting movements, and that is still our aim. We have learned from Papa Floyd and other leaders of the faith over the years, and we feel privileged to be pressing on in the race to which God has called us.

We invite you to join us in running the race we have been called to as an organization: to reach the least, the last and the lost. We do this by making disciples and raising up leaders to ignite church planting movements.

We cannot do this without a team behind us. Our hub team in Cape Town stands behind our field workers to support them and cheer them on in the race they are running. But we also need a team supporting and cheering on the hub. Would you consider taking hands with us in this race?

We launch a fundraising campaign Friday, 15 October. Our goal is to raise 150,000 rand (about $10,000) by the end of the year in order to keep funding the work to which All Nations Cape Town is called.

We are also looking for financial partners who would commit to give monthly to support our work. We are praying this effort leads us to others who want to join in our work through volunteering or joining our team full time. Please help us raise awareness about ANCT by liking and sharing our fundraising posts on social media! And please pray about how else God would have you get involved.
